mENTEE EXPECTATIONS
Mentees participating in our mentoring program must agree to the following expectations:
- Accept personal responsibility for career and entrepreneurial development
- Use professional and respectful communication during workshops. Treat others how you would like to be treated.
- If you must reschedule or cancel your space at a workshop, please notify [email protected] as far in advance as possible so we can offer your space to another interested mentee.
- Come to our #shemeets workshops on time and prepared. If you’ve agreed to do something between meetings, be sure it is done.
- Listen and keep an open mind so that you can benefit from the experiences, insights, and advice of your mentor. In this spirit,
- Be open and willing to discuss your professional or entrepreneurial goals with your mentor.
- Be able to pitch your ideas/goals within 1-2 minutes, if you are interested in sharing.
- Remember that all mentors are volunteers. Treat their time and contributions as valuable. Please do not ask or expect your mentor to give you things such as a job, funding or an internship etc.
- Be willing to share your feedback at the end of the workshop to demonstrate the program's impact.
- Identify barriers to goal achievement and provide potential solutions.
- If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact [email protected]
